FORT MYERS, Fla., – Fort Myers Attorney Luis E. Insignares attained board certification in marital and family law by the Florida Bar. Certification recognizes Insignares’ special skills, knowledge and proficiency in marital and family law and his professionalism and ethics in the practice of law.
Board certification is the highest level of evaluation by the Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Florida Supreme Court. Currently, seven percent of eligible Florida Bar members are certified.
In addition to his certification, Insignares was recently named co-editor of FAMSEG, the monthly news publication of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. He is also a frequent contributor to the Florida Bar Journal and The Commentator, the official publication of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. His article, “Sequestration and Receivers in Florida Divorces”, was featured in the summer edition of The Commentator.
A practicing attorney since 1989, Insignares managed the family law division of one of Southwest Florida’s largest law firms before starting his own practice in 2000. He is a member of the board of the Lee County Legal Aid Society and is past chairman of the 20th Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.
